The experts, Doctors and academics call the pandemic’s fourth wave, “The pandemic of the unvaccinated.” It refers to those who refuse to get the vaccine.
They’re using the wrong language.
It’s not the ‘pandemic of the unvaccinated.’
It’s the pandemic of the unwilling.
I recently made the decision to cut off all association with people in my sphere of influence who, for whatever reason, refuse to get vaccinated. Some of these people are highly educated people with degrees and certificates, some aren’t. Doesn’t matter. If you’re not vaccinated, don’t wear a mask, or are making a political statement by being…
Not surprising. But you don't have to go to Rural America to find this. Try Macomb County, Michigan, outside of Detroit, for a dose of Trumpism. I know people who claim to have been involved in the events of 1/6 (including the guy with the infamous 'Trump Unity Van'), but they weren't part of the mayhem. Yeah, right. I've ended friendships/associations with people I've known 30-years-plus because of this. I've written about this as well.
Fifty-three years later, a reminder of what we could have been
“Even in our sleep, pain which cannot forget
falls drop by drop upon the heart
in our own despair,
comes wisdom through the awful grace
of God” — Aeschylus
He is 77 years old now. He has spent the past 53 years in prison for a murder that still haunts this country all these years later.
In the annals of history, the 1960s will be remembered as the most tumultuous. …
From the OnlyFans Twitter account:
Dear Sex Workers, The OnlyFans community would not be what it is today without you. The policy change was necessary to secure banking and payment services to support you. We are working around the clock to come up with solutions. #SexWorkIsWork
OK, confession time. I own porn. I watch it, enjoy it (well, most of it) and follow some performers on Twitter — or used to. There are three things that will be on most men’s computers when they die. Unopened emails, bank and credit card statements and porn.
The last time I had full-on…
If you think last year was bad, just wait to see what will happen before 2030.
In 10 years (or less), these things will become obsolete or disappear entirely.
10. Air travel. At least for the masses. I flew for almost 50 years, passports for 40. Last year’s shutdown showed just how unnecessary flying is.
9. Oil. At least as we use it. It is estimated by 2027–8, electric cars will surpass traditional gasoline-powered vehicles in sales.
8. Television. (as we knew it) It will be all streaming services and retro-antennas.
7. Suburbs. Which means that whites people will be…
That, right there, is a memory I will always remember. October 10, 1968. 3:25 Central Time.
Bill Freehan, perhaps the greatest catcher the Tigers ever had, died today after a prolonged bout with Alzheimer’s. He was 79.
He was my mother’s favorite player. One of mine as well. I admired him for his style demeanor and faith. I saw him last in 2003 at the 35th anniversary celebration event.
№11, the best catcher the Tigers ever produced. Caught 155 games in 1968, caught the entire, epic 1967 All-Star Game in Anaheim in 125-degree heat that the American League lost, 2–1…
So, ten days ago, I received a letter (actually, two). One from Social Security, the other from the State of Michigan. The SSA letter came with an envelope.
In my world, whenever I get something from Social Security, or the State, it’s usually on a Saturday (and usually bad). But this came out of the blue and knocked me for a loop and a half. The half being half-my-face.
Back to August 9. The letter stated that because of their mistake, I needed to repay them $3,654 within a month otherwise they would cut me off starting in November. …
There are so many connections to this. Dorothy Kilgallen, the journalist and game show panelist, (What's My Line?) died under mysterious circumstances in 1965. She was about to report how the Warren Commission missed several factors. And that's just one well-known person. There were many others with even a tangible connection to the assassination, lesser-known, who also died of some 'natural' cause. (not counting Jimmy Hoffa) We'll never know, but the descendants of those who did know, the Hunt's, the Getty's, the Ford's, the Schram's, et.al, are still with us.
