A Notification To My Medium Subscribers And Followers

I have made the decision to leave Medium. Following yet another change in their payout schedule and changes to my Social Security benefits, (both for the worse) I find the need to expand my paid subscriber base at Substack.

My last piece on Medium will be in two weeks. I wish to thank Lilith Helstrom (The Left Is Right, Deconstructing Christianity)and Paul Dughi (SportsRaid) for allowing me to edit their publications. I would be remiss if I didn’t acknowledge Barry Friedman, aka Friedman of the Plains, for getting me to write on here in the first place, along with several writers who have become an integral part of my reading experience, including, but not limited to Janice Harayda, Christine Stevens, David Martin, Unbecoming (whoever she is) and too many to mention.

The current cost to subscribe to my blog is $33 a year. Being Prime and Wayfair doing sales during the month, I discounted the yearly price from $45. I will keep it at $33 until Labor Day to accommodate those who migrate over. You can also become a monthly subscriber ($6/$72 per year) or a founding member at $400 a year.

I really wanted to keep my Medium Membership and write both on here and Substack, but the dwindling payouts and other factors have made it harder to justify both.

I know all 800-plus of you will not follow me over to Substack and that’s fine. I am glad that some of you will. I am appreciative of every one of you and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
