Slavery has never fully disappeared. It takes on different forms, called different names. Serfs, poor, the underclass, working class. Dickens, Orwell, Twain, and writers and authors known and forgotten have touched on this. Until the monetary system is replaced with something else (or rendered obsolete), there will continue to be inequality and slavery.
