Barry Friedman is a comedian, journalist, satirist, author of five books (Road Comic, Funny You Should Mention It, Four Days and a Year Later — An Elegy, The Joke Was On Me — A Comedian’s Memoir, and Jack Sh*t — Volume One, Voluptuous Bagels And Other Concerns of Jack Friedman and also the novel Jacob Fishman’s Marriages) and his work has appeared in Esquire, (where he was given the title “Friedman of the Plains” by Esquire Politics columnist Charles Pierce) the late, lamented Tulsa Voice, Progressive Populist and most recently on Substack.

Every Monday, he regurgitates the Sunday morning Yak-fests, sometimes channeling such overbearing blowhards as David Brooks, Thomas Friedman (no relation, he swears) and his favorite, Peggy Noonan. Yesterday, he gave us the rundown on Chuck Todd’s latest attempt to appear tough on his interviewees. Of course, this being Our Man Chuck, he failed even at the panel discussion.
