“Donald Trump Will Convict Donald Trump”

Last night, in addition to the dangerous (and largely unknown) ‘non-coup’ in Russia, with Vladimir Putin acting more like the second-world dictator that he is, we had yet another reminder of just how dangerous and real a wanna-be dictator here at home wants to be.

CNN, along with The Washington Post reported and released a recording of Donald Trump doing exactly what the Justice Department is charging him with. He waves around a document as the people in the room with him at his Bedminster, N.J. laugh in response.

The document, purported to be a Pentagon scenario to attack Iran, is bragged about by The Former Guy.* “See, as president I could have declassified it, now I can’t. … Isn’t that interesting? It’s so cool.”

It is ‘interesting’ only in making Jack Smith’s case even more open and shut. Hell, just last week, he went on Fox Noise and did his best Nixon, or maybe more Oliver North, denying he knew there were classified documents at his club and private residence at Mar-A-Lago.

He was “busy.” He said those boxes had newspaper clippings and personal stuff, “like golf shirts and stuff.” Yeah, right.

I’ll make the Toby Ziegler bet on that one. “All the money in your pocket versus all the money in mine.”
