Facebook is going the way of Friendster, Sixdegrees and Myspace. I came across a dead account recently. No posts in nine years. Plus all the dead people on the site. Makes up for between 10-12% of Facebook. My uncle, who died in 2017 at the age of 88, is still on. A online friend who passed last year, his posts still show up occasionally. My mother is 86 and on. Facebook has an option which allows users to designate a person to delete your account when you pass. Well, what are you supposed to do? Get up off your deathbed and designate your kid, niece, nephew, cousin, wife, husband, partner to delete your profile? They'll vanish long before that. By 2030.
