Our current situation is the outcome of years of diligent effort by the anti-abortion movement ― managing the judiciary, relentless passage in red states of laws restricting abortion, an everything-at-the-wall legal strategy.

This ought to make you angry. And I hope it makes you fight. All of the energy Michiganders dedicated to Prop 3 last year, turning out for the midterms, standing in line for hours to register to vote ― we need that vigor in next year's presidential election. And in the midterm elections after that, and in the presidential election after that. It's never going to be over — because the goal of the anti-abortion movement is to make abortion illegal in this country. Full stop."
