Hill Harper, who lives in LA (he's an actor) is running for senate in Michigan's Democratic Primary next year against Elissa Slotkin.(he maintains a residence in Detroit) Why? To essentially siphon off enough black votes to make Slotkin look weak on urban issues (even though the CD she represents includes Pontiac and Lansing). He won't win, but he might accomplish his goal. Insane.
