I had a girlfriend who was a flight attendant. Back in the 80’s. She told me most of her flights were boring, but she did have a few ‘incidents.’ One guy offered her $500 for sex, (she turned him down) another had sex with her co-attendant in the Attendant’s area. After the FAA banned smoking on planes, people still tried to smoke, including one guy in his advancing years who told her “arrest me when I we land, but if you or your captain try to stop me from smoking, I’ll fire you both.” He was a former head of the airline.

We dated for about a year, then it just ended because she got put on a different route. About six months later, there was that horrible crash on takeoff in Detroit and I rang her up to make sure she was OK. Last time I ever spoke with her.
