I never saw The Exorcist when it first came out, but I saw it as an adult and able to understand its meaning and context, found it to be an excellent commentary on American life, both in the 1970s and even today. Linda Blair might not have achieved the success of her contemporaries, like Jodie Foster or Tatum O'Neal, but she has worked steadily.
