I wrote this on Esquire Politics blog the other day, but I'll repeat it here: "She was an iconoclast of the first order. She spoke the truth and no one listened. The shame is on us, not her. People who speak truths are often shunned and cast out. She didn't care. The Saturday Night Live appearance didn't ruin her career, it defined it."
