Today, July 18, was a busy day, both in the case that The Former Guy* is indicted in, the one he’s about to be indicted in and, separately the infamous ‘Green Bay Sweep’ plot to send ‘alternate elector slates to Congress. To wit:
Mangled Orange received a target letter from the DOJ for his involvement in the 1/6 insurrection. Which means that he’ll face more criminal charges in addition to the documents case (and the NY business fraud case). Also, the first of the ‘fake electors’ cases were brought in Michigan against the 16 fake electors who sent an ‘alternate’ slate, forged, to the National Archives.

Attorney General Dana Nessel announced felony charges Tuesday against the group of Michigan Republicans who allegedly participated in a scheme to try to award the state’s Electoral College votes to former President Donald Trump with a phony certificate in the 2020 election despite his 154,188-vote loss in the state.
