Outside of JFK, his death was the one I remember from my early childhood. I heard/read stories about him and Annette Funicello and how he was against her doing the Beach Blanket movies but gave his blessing when she promised to not show her navel. Even though in his original drawings of Bambi, she had breasts. Weird guy. The very last intro he did for Wonderful World of Color was 10 days before he died.
