I was born with Cerebral Palsy. I'm 63 in three weeks. People I've known for 45+ years still tell me "I should be doing this or that." I know a guy who says that to me all the time and he hasn't worked since he was 25. Writers, even successful ones, never make much money. Hell, I went a whole decade writing and doing PR for people. They paid me in cash and wrote me off on my taxes. I never earned enough to pay taxes. I lived on SSI until my dad went on Social Security. Then, it got complicated after he died earlier this year.
