INT: Nancy Pelosi’s office, discussing whether or not to petition the DC Court for the Grand Jury testimony regarding Donald Trump’s obstruction of justice. House Judiciary Chairman Jerrod Nadler and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are discussing the path forward after Robert S. Mueller’s muted, but compelling before Congress on July 24th.
Pelosi: “Jerry, we’re damned if we do…”
Nadler: “And fucked if we don’t.”
Schumer: “McConnell won’t -”
Nadler: FUCK TURTLENECK!!!”
Pelosi: “We have to craft it in such a way…”
Nadler: “Craft it anyway you want, Nancy. We need to move forward.”
Schumer: “It’s what ‘they’ want us to do.”
Nadler: “Which ‘they’ are you talking about, Chuck?”
Pelosi: “Jerry -”
Nadler: “Don’t ‘Jerry’ me, Nancy. These shitheads have trampled over every norm, violated the Constitution at every turn and you want ‘the Courts’ to sort this out? Fuck me with Mickey Mantle’s bat!!! By the time that happens, it’ll be November 4 and we’ll be looking at another 1300 days of hell from these numskulls.”
Pelosi: “OK, you made your point. Go after McGhann.”
Nadler: “Thank you, your highness.”
