The experts, Doctors and academics call the pandemic’s fourth wave, “The pandemic of the unvaccinated.” It refers to those who refuse to get the vaccine.
They’re using the wrong language.
It’s not the ‘pandemic of the unvaccinated.’
It’s the pandemic of the unwilling.
I recently made the decision to cut off all association with people in my sphere of influence who, for whatever reason, refuse to get vaccinated. Some of these people are highly educated people with degrees and certificates, some aren’t. Doesn’t matter. If you’re not vaccinated, don’t wear a mask, or are making a political statement by being obstinate, fine. Just don’t do it around me, thank you very much.
Yesterday, I received an email from Beaumont Hospital. It advised people with non-threatening conditions to go to urgent care or your primary care doctor. Their ER’s are filling up. And that’s just in Michigan, where we have 58% fully vaccinated.
In other words, if you tore your ACL playing softball or broke your leg while hiking, don’t bother. The problem being is that soon, urgent care will be flooded with unvaccinated Covid patients and they’re not set up for that, either.
