There are two trains of thoughts on Woodward. One, from an academic view, is that he's a highly-paid stenographer, another being that his books are too dry and slanted. (i.e. his favorable view of Bush the Lesser and his disdain of Obama) His Trump books might have restored some journalistic credibility, but the last one was written with Robert Costa.
