These people who think they'll be fine in Alaska or Canada's Yukon Territory are nuts. The people promoting Wise Foods aren't doing it for everyone. One bucket of dried food costs $85, the last I looked a few years back. How am I going to afford that on Social Security and maybe $25,000 in 10 years? I'm saving money every damn month, yet it won't be enough to live on, beyond maybe five years. These rich people who think they'll 'escape' to New Zealand are in for a shock. When the grid goes down, it'll be like 'Jerchio' or 'Revolution.' They'll be no planes or phones (landlines are making a comeback) and once your computer's batteries are used up, you're screwed. Short-wave radio's and old computers (think Apple IIe's or 486's) might keep us in contact for about three-five months, but that's it.
