It is not surprising. What has come out since 11 am Eastern time on April 18, 2019 isn’t surprising in the least. Not if you know the history of Donald John Trump.

His shamelessness, depravity and total lack of empathy or morals has been there all along, people just ignored it three years ago.

For the uninitiated, Cohn is the man who helped convict and execute Julius and Ethel Rosenberg for espionage, for passing secrets to the Soviet Union, even though 70 years on we now know they were innocent, was Joseph McCarthy’s wing man during the infamous Senate hearings that ended up being a sham and brought down McCarthy. In Post-War, Cold War America, fewer people loomed as large as Roy Cohn.
