It is not surprising. What has come out since 11 am Eastern time on April 18, 2019 isn’t surprising in the least. Not if you know the history of Donald John Trump.

From Wayne Barrett’s 1979 Village Voice article to the Mueller Report’s release yesterday, articles, books, court cases, football leagues and casino’s, his whole life, lived for the last 35+ years in the public eye and under the Klieg lights of both TV and politics, none of this should be surprising.

This man, who has been President* for 820 days, is nothing more than a fraud. It doesn’t matter if he’s impeached or anything else in his life, he will evade responsibility, which he has done his whole life. His shamelessness, depravity and total lack of empathy or morals has been there all along, people just ignored it three years ago.

“Where’s my Roy Cohn?” went the lament from this stunted eight year old after his first Attorney General, Jeff Sessions, recused himself, referring to one of the 20th Century’s most infamous miscreants. For the uninitiated, Cohn is the man who helped convict and execute Julius and Ethel Rosenberg for espionage, for passing secrets to the Soviet Union, even though 70 years on we now know they were innocent, was Joseph McCarthy’s wing man during the infamous Senate hearings that ended up being a sham and brought down McCarthy. In Post-War, Cold War America, fewer people loomed as large as Roy Cohn.

Following the passage of the Fair Housing Act, Fred Trump was sued for discriminatory practices…
