Walt Disney himself was a racist and misogynist. When 'Song of the South' was released, Southern movie theaters refused to show it and the movie was poorly recieved and lost money. He also paid his colorists, mostly all women, substandard wages and ran it like a sweatshop. Abigail Disney, his niece and Roy's daughter, has spoken and written about this stain on the Disney name and legacy.
