"We need to improve our mental healthcare systems. We need to fund them."

That stopped 30 years ago. We shut down State Hospitals, put them in prison or a private hospital. That's not coming back. I'm 63, I remember those places and the stigma of being in one. Had a friend who worked at a state mental facility when he was young. The stories he told me would make the hair stand up on the back of your neck.

We could have made the correct choices, but didn't. We could have transition to clean energy 25-30, even 40 years ago. Electric cars, late-80's. Heck, most of Europe drives electric. They were selling electric 15 years ago. We're so far behind the curve, it'll be long after I'm dead before we catch up.
