We're never going back to the Before Times. I'm not going to play Paralympic Table Tennis anymore, my sister got permanently furloughed (fired) in the wake of this. Then, the place she worked at replaced her for a quarter of what she made. My nephew's on SSDI and VA benefits because of injuries in Iraq and Afghanistan, my niece has to adult kids who can't seem to get their lives together (which has nothing to do with their ability to work, but still) and wants a divorce that she can't afford. I have a friend who's probably never going back to work again, even though she was pulling in $100,000 a year as a top server at a local sports bar. She's got a teenage daughter she's taking care of. Nobody is ever going to make that roll anymore, simply because too many people have stopped going out to eat.
