Yeah, ELO got in hot water for lip-synching at a concert in '77 or '78 at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Mich. They denied it. Jeff Lynne admitted he used 'backing tracks' on that tour. https://www.mibuzzboard.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=47564
