You don't even take into account the impossibility of Warp speed. If E = mc2 (299,792,468 m/s) can never be achieved using current technology (most physicists theorize we might, at current, be able to reach 3/4ths or maybe 4/5ths), it might take hundreds of years to develop it and several centuries more for human's to actually travel. Plus, at light speed, at least insofar as we know it, under and within the parameters of today's technology, we'd all either a) die within minutes, or b) go insane because our molecular structure would, as the article pointed out, change.

But, think about this for a minute - My maternal grandfather was born in 1903, the same year as the Wright Brothers flight at Kitty Hawk. He lived long enough to watch Armstrong walk on the Moon.
