You make some good points. But there's one thing you overlooked. Men, like me, who are disabled. We have so many obstacles to overcome and yet - we get the "best friend and soulmate," bullshit while she goes off and marries an Aussie Rules Football player. Yet she carried on with me for years after she got hitched. Back in my 30s, I had high school, summer camp and women I knew in college calling me all hours of the day and night, having phone sex with me and telling me what a dick their husbands were.
The problem was that I lived (for the most part) on next to nothing. As in SSI. So, if I were to have found a "good woman," I'd lose money. Now that I've gotten off SSI and have real money, I'm 64 (yes, that damned Beatles song still has 10 months left in my head...lol) and my pool is an inflatable wading one. (insert joke here)
